Perched quietly on a Dollar Bush, this Peringuey’s Adder waits where life itself takes hold. The plant beneath it makes survival possible in one of the harshest environments on Earth. Its scales catch the light like something ancient—almost mythical. Most of the time it lies hidden beneath the sand, using its tail to lure prey close before the ambush, or side-winding smoothly across the desert sand. This rare moment of stillness, a pause before instinct pulls it back into the sand below!
