Every step is a lesson. These three curious lion cubs are part of a larger cohort—nearly a dozen youngsters, each around three months old—trotting through the tall grasses of the Serengeti under the watchful eye of a devoted lioness.
One paw at a time, they move along the path toward becoming powerful predators. A tiny lick of the lips is a gentle reminder: they must drink plenty of milk now, and eventually eat a lot of meat to one day get there.
What an honor to witness the future generation of the pride.
